Every 15 seconds a burglary is committed in the United States. Within the next 20 years, three out of every four U.S. homes will be broken into by criminals.

If you aren't working with a trusted home security camera installation service, you could be putting your valuable items and your family at risk. The scary thing about home break-ins isn't that they're always done by career criminals, either, but it could be literally anyone. Whether it's one of your neighbors, the friendly postal worker, kids passing by, or experienced criminals, if you don't have residential security camera installation, you're going to be constantly nervous that your home is being burglarized.

In California, even the local FedEx employee was a potential threat of breaking and entering.

According to SF Gate, Kevin Baker, 57, was working for FedEx seemingly as a front for a much more lucrative career: crime

"FedEx Ground contracts for, and expects the highest levels of conduct from service providers and their employees," said Meredith Miller, a FedEx spokesperson. "We are cooperating fully with the authorities as they conduct their investigation and will take the appropriate steps to address this matter."

Baker already had a history of theft and burglary-related offenses and was a convicted felon. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility and is facing first-degree charges of burglary, with bail set at $150,000.

As a homeowner, it's your responsibility to protect your family and keep your valuable items secure at all hours of the day, even when you're away from your home. According to the FBA, the most home burglaries occur right in the middle of day, when most people are at work, from 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Again, your best bet at protecting your home from burglars, whether it's from FedEx workers, mischievous neighborhood children, or professional criminals, is to use a home security camera installation service. Homes without security surveillance system installation are actually 300% more likely to be broken into than home security cameras installation programs.
